Hello everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that we will have a team meeting on Thursday before skiing. I want to have a discussion as a team so we can move forward and help each other get the best out of each skier on the team. The goal of the meeting will be to figure out how we can all contribute to the success of the team. At the moment, I see behaviours that are not leading us in that direction and I want to steer us in the right direction.
As far as the selection process is concerned, the selection period for the first 2 events (World Junior Trials and the Eastern CDN) will end on Dec 19. The selection will be based on the single best race until that date. So far, according to the selection document, we have had one selection race that took place last Saturday, Dec 3. The second selection race is planned for Saturday Dec. 10. The race organizers will take a decision on whether the race will take place this Saturday on Thursday night based on the forecast available then.
I will calculate the CPL points from our local races after the release of the next CPL points list by CCC which should happen by Dec 19. If the second Don Sumanik race cannot take place prior to Dec 19, a request will be made to the CCY board to amend and modify the existing selection criteria and include the time trial results that was done on Dec 4.
I would recommend to everyone to review the selection criteria now that we have started the selection process.
