Hello everyone, for practice this week, we will be doing the following workouts;
Tuesday: running and circuit training
Thursday: roller skiing with specific strength
Any Blue Squad skiers interested in watching the John Parry Grand Prix this Thursday around 7 pm. You are invited to come and watch some of the National Ski Team skiers taking part.

Information for the Roller Ski Camp on the Haines Road (Dezadeash Lake
Campground)
August 1-2-3, 2013
Thursday Aug. 1 AM Leave Mt-Mac at
8 AM to drive to Haines Junction.
We will start our first
workout from Haines Junction. Will be doing some speed work and will be taking
some video.
PM Strength test in the campground in the afternoon followed by an
easy and short hike near the campground.
Friday Aug. 2 AM Long
roller ski session (2:00-2:30) in the morning with intensity work. Take more
video that we can review during the workout.
PM Go for a short hike/run in the area
in late afternoon.
Saturday Aug. 3 AM Roller skiing -
specific strength. Total workout time ~ 1:30
PM Roller ski from the Campground towards Kathleen Lake for about
1:30
What you will need to
bring for the camp:
Food for 2 dinners, 3
lunches, 2 breakfasts and some snack food.
Make sure you pack some
nutritious food to help with recovery between workouts.
(Bagels, fruits and
vegetables as well a mixed nut etc.).
Equipment for roller-skiing
(roller-skis, skating & classic poles, skating boots, gloves, bike helmet,
reflective vest)
Running shoes, shorts, socks,
underwear, pants, T-shirts, fleece and polypro clothing, wind breaker jacket,
rain gear, swimming suit and a towel, 1 tent for 2-4 athletes, sleeping bag and
mattress pad, pillow, tarp, a small day pack, water bottle, bug dope, small first
aid kit, sport drink, cooking pots, utensils and a stove for 2-4 athletes. Any
games you like (Frisbee, soccer, football etc.)
Optional equipment: camera,
bear spray
