Hello everyone, I know it is only August but I thought I would share the various Yukon Ski Team trip travel dates with all of you in case some of you wanted to use point's ticket, flight pass or a flight credit for travel this year. I know the selection process will not take place for a few more months, but some of you may want to book travel knowing that you would most likely qualify for a specific trip. In the eventuality of a seat sale, this information will be useful for booking travel. In the next month, if a seat sale becomes available, I will sent a note to let family know of the opportunity.
- NORAM in Canmore (Dec. 5-6-8, 2015) For skiers who met the criteria to qualify for the National Championships in 2015. Female born in 2000 and earlier and male born in 1999 and earlier.
Leave Whitehorse on Thursday Dec. 3 at 5:50 on Air Canada 288, connect on Air Canada 208 to Calgary at 10:00 am and arrive in Calgary at 12:27.
Return Calgary on Tuesday Dec. 8 at 19:45 on AC 229 and arrive in Vancouver at 20:24. Continue on Air Canada 291 at 21:05 from Vancouver and arrive in Whitehorse at 23:40.
- World Junior/U23 Trials in Thunder Bay, ON (Jan 14-16-17, 2016) For skiers who will meet the points criteria in Dec. 2015.
Leave Whitehorse on Monday Jan. 11 at 5:50 on AC 288, arrive in Vancouver at 8:16. Continue on AC 034 to Toronto at 9:00 and arrive in Toronto at 16:20. Leave TO for TB on AC 8541 at 17:35 and arrive in TB at 19:41.
Return on Monday Jan. 18 at 6:00 on AC 8530 and arrive in TO at 7:45. Continue to Vancouver on AC 1175 at 9:00 to arrive in Vancouver at 11:00. Continue on AC 289 from Vancouver to Whitehorse leaving at 12:30 to arrive at 15:05 in Whitehorse.
- Eastern Canadian Championships in Nakkertok, PQ (Feb. 5-6-7, 2016) For skiers who will meet the selection criteria in December 2015.
Leave Whitehorse on Wed. Feb. 3 at 5:50 on AC 288 to Vancouver. Continue on AC 166 at 9:25 to Ottawa and arrive in Ottawa at 17:02.
Return will be on Monday Feb. 8 on Air North flight 4N512 leaving Ottawa at 11:30 and arriving in Whitehorse at 15:55.
- Arctic Winter Games, Greenland (March 5-12, 2016) will be done with charter flights. Details to be announced later this fall.
- Nationals in Whitehorse (March 19-26, 2016) will not involve flights for local skiers :)
