Update from the BC Championships

Hello everyone, here is a quick update from the BC Championships in Kelowna.

We did 2 races so far, yesterday the races were done using the mass start format in skating while today we were using the interval start format in classic.

Yesterday the conditions were near ideal while today, the races took place during a snow storm with accumulation close to 30 cm during the races. That was a good opportunity for our Yukon skiers to experience very challenging track conditions which we rarely see in the Yukon :-)

Overall, a great opportunity for all to experience fast racing with good competition from BC, Alberta and Washington State.

Don't forget to join us this Sunday, Feb 18 at 10am for our Olympic Viewing party. We will be replaying the relay race event, and CBC cameras will be coming for footage to play during the Olympics. Let's show our athletes how our club is behind them!
After the viewing party ski out to Harvey's Hut for Easy Like Sunday from 12-3 and enjoy treats and hot chocolate and a nice fire!

Knute will be racing the Men's relay tonight :-)
