Update from the Ski Nationals

I hope everyone in Whitehorse is enjoying the warm temperatures of the last few days :-)

Here at the Nationals, we have had cold nights and warm days for the last few days.

It has been very busy since the pursuit with the individual sprints, the team sprints and the long distances races today.

The Yukon skiers have had a lot of great results in the last few days. Here is a summary of the results since the pursuit races:

Individual sprint races held on March 17

Dahria Beatty 2nd in open women
Amanda Thomson 9th in junior women
Derek Deuling  12th in junior boys
Hannah Jirousek 16th in junior women
Dahlia Lapointe 18th in junior girl
Curtis Cash 19th in juvenile boys
Natalie Hynes 22nd in open women
Sasha Masson 23rd in junior boys
Sonjaa Schmidt 34th in junior girls
Bella Mouchet 58th in juvenile girl
Maude Molgat 65th in juvenile girls

Team sprints races held on March 18

Amanda Thomson and Hannah Jirousek 8th in open women

Derek Deuling Sasha Masson 3rd in challenge boys

Sonjaa Schmidt and Dahlia Lapointe 16th in challenge girls

Maude Molgat and Bella Mouchet 39th in challenge

Long distance mass start races on March 19

Amanda Thomson 1st Canadian in junior women
Natalie Hynes 6th in open women
Hannah Jirousek 19th in junior women

The final races will complete the Championships tomorrow with the juvenile and junior skiers taking part in the mass start classic races.
