Day two of the World Championships

It was the second day of the World Championships with the skiathlon races for both the men and the women. Both Emily and Graham Nishikawa took part in the races today. Emily struggled from the start and had to stop partway though the classic portion of the race. Emily seem to have suffered from heart arithmia and will have this checked tomorrow. Graham had a solid classic portion of the race but faded in the skating section and finish in 51st place for his first ever race at they World Championships.

The best finish for the Canadian skiers today came from Alex Harvey with a 13th place finish. The races will continue tomorrow with the team sprints in skating.

Meanwhile at the Western Championships in Grande Prairies, the team continued their good results with many top 10 finishes including a gold medal performance by Caelan Maclean in the 5
Km classic race for Juvenile boys.

The Western Championships will resume tomorrow with a distance skate race. Stay posted. Alain
