It was a great weekend of racing this weekend. Thanks to the sponsors, volunteers, coaches and athletes for making this weekend a great success.
Classic results
The CCY HP Committee will meet tomorrow to review the CPL points from the weekend races and confirm the nominations for the World Junior Trial Races in mid-December as well as the skiers who will attend the CWG Camp taking place in January. The Selection process for the Eastern Canadian will continue until the Yukon Championships on Jan. 12 while the Canada Games Team will be confirmed after the Eastern CDN and the Ski Nationals team will be confirmed after the Eastern CDN.
Training this week:
Monday at 4 pm: Sport psychology in the race office as well as skiing in classic on the machine made snow loop and doing some speed work.
Tuesday at 4 pm: skiing in classic and doing drills and specific strength (double polling).
Thursday at 4pm: skiing in classic and doing intensity on the natural snow (Upper Valley)
Saturday at 11am: We will be doing a long slow distance ski and work on technique.
Congratulation to Sonjaa and Derek for winning the Don Sumanik trophies this year.
