Six Yukon skiers took part in their first race at the World Junior/U23 Trials earlier today in Canmore.
It was a good start for everyone and a chance to compare with the best skiers in Canada.
The first event was a 1.4 km classic technique sprint for all open Junior and Senior skiers. This was the first race of three that will be use to select the team to the World Junior and U23 Championships that will be held in Finland in January.
There will be 2 distance races this weekend, an interval skate race on Saturday and a mass start race on Sunday.
