Training this week - message from the Squad Rep Committee

Sorry this post is late as I could not access Blogger in the last 12 hours!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well and enjoyed a good break from School.

It looks like we have a cold week! Make sure you have all your cold weather gear, buffs, mitts, boot covers, hot shot and multiple layers of clothing so we can go outside for the full practice. We will ski in classic until the weather is more favourable to skate skiing.

Based on temperatures, we will decide on the workout before each practice.

I will enter everyone for the Yukon Championship scheduled for Saturday Jan 12 (backup Jan 19).

Please read the following note from our Squad Rep:

Message from the Squad Rep Committee

Happy New Year all!
The ‘volunteer’ season has begun in full force, in fact we are over halfway through the volunteer season. Many many volunteers were involved for the Don Sumaniks races, in the Christmas party, in coaching, the pre snow Halloween fun, food for camps etc etc.
And next, the Yukon Championships.
- Please remember it is your responsibility to check the sign up lists – either on the CCY Volunteer board - posted on the coach’s locker to the left of the sink and just before you go down the hallway to the change rooms OR through this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0a4fa9ac2da1fc1-donsumaniks2

- If you are unable to complete your task, please try to find a replacement AND communicate with your squad rep. Then please go back into the link above and sign up for something else.

- And very very important – when you complete your task, please inform your squad rep by email (below). Your credits will not be counted otherwise and your volunteer ‘bond’ cheque will be cashed in April. (And we do not want to do that!)
If you have not informed your squad rep of tasks you completed in the fall, PLEASE send them an email.
(If you have a child in more than one squad, indicate in your email that you have a child in -  eg Orange and Green squad.)

Thank you so much for your time and efforts – volunteers are crucial and we appreciate all that you do!
