Annah's adventures at the World Junior Championships

It was an interesting day for Annah earlier today at the World Junior Championships in the 10 km skiathlon race.

The start of the classic race went smoothly and Annah felt really good about her classic race until she came to the ski stadium to exchange her skis and poles. She came into her box and realised her skis were gone, another athletes (bib 32) having done the exchange in the wrong box. Annah had to find an official and ask to see if she could use the skis from bib 32 that were left in the other box. By the time she got the OK from the official, she had been in the exchange area for more than 2 minutes, an eternity while you are racing! The average exchange time was around 40 sec. while Annah took 2:17. Annah after getting the pair of skis left was standing in 58th position, managed to go out of the exchange area with a great attitude and push hard to regain 11 positions and post a great skate time. In the end, she finished 47th but both her classic and skate race were the best of the week. A great achievement in these circumstances! Again Annah demonstrated why she is such a great athlete, her attitude is way above average and is certainly her greatest asset.
