Selection Criteria and update for the Arctic Winter Games

Hello everyone, I just wanted to confirm that the 2015-16 CCY Selection Criteria document that was reviewed as a draft in October has been approved by the CCY board of director at their last board meeting. It will therefore be the document used by the CCY High Performance Committee this season.

We have received the new AWG guidelines from the Yukon Sport Branch. With the new coaching certification requirement for the 2016 AWG Games, only three CCY coaches met the new standard (Comp Int. certified or Comp Dev. trained). Amanda Deuling, Jan Downing and Alain Masson who all meet the certification requirement will be leading the AWG team in March.

For all the skiers hoping to qualify for the AWG this year, note that you will need a valid passport that has an expiry date of at least 3 months beyond March 2016.
