Thursday May 24 at 4:00 pm: running and strength testing in groups of 3 skiers

Saturday-Sunday May 26-27: Camp near Carcross, please see info below.

Coming event: roller ski/running duathlon on June 5th

Information for the camp this weekend (Saturday and Sunday May 26-27, 2018)

Here is the information for the camp this weekend;

We are going to do some hiking on both Saturday and Sunday. We will be hiking Mt-Lorne on Saturday and hike Neres Mountain on Sunday. We will have athlete meetings and review the training plan/guidelines for the year on Saturday afternoon in small groups.

- We will leave at 8:30 am from the South CGC parking Lot/Roller ski container and stop at the Carcross Corner around 8:50 to pick up any skiers living around that area (let me know if that is the case).
-We will start the hike from Bear Creek on the Carcross Road around 9:30. After the hike, we will drive to Carcross and camp at the Conrad YG Campground.
-On Sunday, we will hike the Nares Mountain trail near Carcross.
-We should be back in town in mid afternoon (~3 pm).

Packing list:

-running shoes, hiking clothes, small day pack, hat, gloves, sunscreen, change of clothes, windbreaker, sun glasses
-sleeping bag, mattress pad, a tent per small group of 3-5 (we will coordinate this at practice this week)
-a lunch for the hike on Saturday and some snacks for the hike on Sunday, a water bottle for both day (we will have water to refill for Saturday and Sunday)
-I will supply the dinner and breakfast for the team as well as the stove and boiling water for the breakfast. I will bring disposable paper plates, bowls etc. for this camp as it is short and to minimize the packing. For the next camp in June, skiers will have to coordinate their own food, stoves, etc. in small groups.

If you have any questions, give me a call or send me an e-mail. Alain
