Start of the dryland training season this week

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well and you are all excited to start a new dryland training season. Spring is a bit late this year so we will have to be a bit flexible with training in the next few weeks while we wait for all the snow to melt and the ground to dry on the trails.

We will start training this Tuesday at 4:00 pm. We will start with a short team meeting for athletes and parents in the wax room at 4:00 pm. We will go running afterward on some of the ridge trails that are a bit dryer. I realized some of the skiers (Derek, Sasha, Ben, Vic and Jamie) will not be able to attend Tuesday's training because of driver's ed which will conflict with training. You could all go training on Wednesday as a group instead instead?

As for training on Thursday, we will wait a few more days to access the conditions and decide on what the training will consist of and I will let you know on Tuesday.

Some of the Blue Squad skiers will be away from Thursday to Monday to participate in a snow camp in Vernon. The camp was offered to the Whitehorse based skiers that had met the selection standard in at least one of the trips last winter.

We will start roller skiing on Tuesday May 15th. Make sure to let me know if you will be using NNN boots to roller ski as the majority of the CCY roller ski fleet is equipped with Salomon SNS bindings. Also, you may want to use older ski boots if you have them as roller skiing can be hard on newer ski boots.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Take care. Alain
