Remember to do a good warm up leading to the start of your race so that you can start with a fast race pace from the beginning. Focus on your pace, your technique and take control of your effort as these are all things you have control over. Try to ignore thoughts that are outcome base and stay in the moment focused on the process. Remember that most of the climbs are in the first half of the course where you can make up time.
