Great start for the Yukon Ski Team at the Nationals

It was a great start for the Yukon Ski Team at the Nationals yesterday and today. After the first two days of competition, the YST has earned a total of three medals.

On Saturday, the YST managed to placed two teams on the podium in the Open Men team sprint competition. The team made up of Knute Johnsgaard and David Greer finished second and the team made of Graham Nishikawa and Colin Abbott finished third for the first two medals of the Nationals. On Sunday, in the individual skate race competition, Graham Nishikawa finished in second place in the open men 10 km competition while David Greer finished in eight place. Other notable results in other category included a fourth place for Caelan Mclean and a ninth place finish for Marcus Deuling in the Juvenile category as well as Kendra Murray who finished 10th in the Junior women 5 km category.
The racing will resume on Tuesday with the individual classic races.
