Training this week

Hello everyone, I hope you are all excited to see the snow starting to accumulate on the ground today :-)

From now on, we will meet at the wax room for each practice.

We are done with roller skiing for the year so if you could get your boots and poles out of the roller ski container, that would be greatly appreciated.

If you will need your roller ski poles for skiing on snow, this week would be a good time to switch your roller ski tips back to your snow baskets.

Make sure you have rock skis ready to go as we may start skiing as soon as possible. In the meantime, training will have to be flexible as conditions can change quickly.

For running, we will try to stay on the single tracks as much as feasible in order to save the snow that has accumulated on the ski trails.

Training this week:

Monday at 4 pm: we will be doing a day of trail work around the ski stadium. Make sure to dress warm and have gloves or mitts to work outside for 2 hours.

Tuesday at 4 pm: we will try to do plyometric one more time at 4:45 pm.

Thursday at 4 pm: running and intensity running

Saturday at 11 am: long slow workout running for 2 hours

We will start doing sport psychology on Monday on Oct 31.

Tim Horton Halloween event to take place Saturday Oct. 29 from 7-9 pm.
