Training this week

I hope you all had a great weekend.

For training this week, everyone should be ready for a mix of running and some skiing. Parts of the trail system has survived the warm weather and will allow us to do some skiing. We will most likely run to get to these sections of good snow so you should all have your running shoes and a small backpack to carry your ski boots and extra clothes.

Here is the schedule:

Monday at 4.00: Sport Psychology with Tracey (individual sessions). Running to Selwyn's Loop to do some specific strength on skis. Run back afterward.

Tuesday at 4.00: Running to Selwyn's Loop to do some skiing and speed work as a large group.

Thursday at 4:00: Running to Selwyn's Loop to do some skiing and intensity zone 3-4 and take some video.

Tentative plan for Saturday, weather permitting. Will be confirmed later this week as more snow has to be made.

Saturday Nov 4th:  Celebration of Snow:  Flannel and Frost  (wear your flannel and your Yukon Ski Team hat)  

11:00-12:00 all squad activity stations in the stadium. Blue Squad skiers to lead at the stations.
12:00 Thank yous and Squad Photos (in stadium)
12:15 Snacks and Refreshments in Race Office for squads

In the mean time... parents please enjoy what the ski club is offering

10:30-11:30 have any ski related equipment you want to sell/swap?   Bring it to the parking lot for a "trunk" sale.  Open your car doors and let people look at what you have.  Sellers are responsible for all transactions, space and time provided by club.

11:30-2:30  have your equipment checked, get any equipment questions answered, ski technique sessions, discounts in ski base, hot choc bar,  food, face painting, etc....
