Information for the Mount Lorne Classic on Saturday

Good morning everyone, just giving you some information for the race in Mount Lorne Saturday. I have not been able to get any updates on the snow conditions in Mt-Lorne. I suspect the track to be firm with the cold temperatures we will be  experiencing this weekend.

As you all know, the courses at Mt-Lorne are relatively flat and offer the opportunity to double pole only if you are interested in trying. If that is something you would like to try, you could use your skate skis to double pole. If you would like to stride, I would suggest to apply a base wax covered by a Rode Super Blue Extra as a starter and adjusting it after trying your skis at the site. For glide waxing, a blue glider in the -6 to -12 range should be good as I would expect temperature to be around -10 at race time.

The approximate race start time should be as follow:

- open Men (JR MEN-BOY) ~ 12:30

- open Women (JR Women-Girl) ~ 12:40

- All Juveniles (BOY - Girl) ~ 12:50

** Make sure to pack your skates and a hockey stick if you want to go on the skating rink afterward.

See you all tomorrow. Alain
