Hello everyone, it was the first day of competition at the World Championships today with the skate sprints. Dahria Finished 37th while Knute was 53rd. The races will resume on Saturday with the skiathlon races where Emily will debut her World Championships. Go Yukon Go!

What's that you ask??
Three different courses for different ages and ski speeds. (approx: 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 km)
3 Mass starts with time handicaps...slowest to fastest
THE CHALLENGE IS TO SEE WHO CROSSES THE FINISH LINE FIRST!
Can a blue squad skier get around a longer course before an orange squader skis a shorter course? Can a green squader lunge to the finish on a medium length course ahead of a purple squader?

11:00 Coaches will hand out bibs and you will be assigned a course and start time. Be ready to warm up with your coaches.
11:45 Let the fun begin.....Start in Stadium
12:15 Warm Down and (clean up of your course)
12:30 ish Tim Horton's Snacks
Theme:
Be creative with what you wear...so you can easily race in it.....can be anything to do with chasing, hunting, pursuing, targets.....anything that represents "HUNTER START" to you :)
