Day 5 in Sochi

Today was the final preparation day for the women who will compete in the skiathlon race on Saturday. It was a busy day as all the teams were trying to gather as much information as possible about the skis, waxes and structures that will be needed for tomorrow's race. The conditions are challenging as there is a big shift in snow temperature just around the start of the classic portion of the race. The race is going to start at 2 pm and for the last three days, this is the time
of the day when the snow is starting to get wet on the south facing hills on the race course while the shady sections of the race course stay dry and cold. Fortunatly for us, we finally figured out a solution that will provide a good wax all the waynaround the course in classic.

The three skiers that will enter the race for Canada tomorrow are Emily Nishikawa, Amanda Ammar and Britanny Webster.
