Here in Utah, the individual sprints took place today. The weather did a complete 180 degree turn as rain fell for the major part of the day! Only 3 of our Yukon juniors took part in the sprint as the rest of the team was preparing for the classic races on Tuesday. Natalie, Marcus and Caelan took part in the qualifier in the morning but did not move on into the heats in the afternoon.

Coming events and information about various fundraising initiatives:

Coffee

As you know, Cross Country Yukon is applying for funds for snowmaking equipment to ensure quality early season skiing for you and to increase our ability to host races (for club sustainability and athlete development).   We are looking to show community support for this project.

Arctic Star Printing has donated 100 bags of coffee to contribute to this initiative!!   What a great idea for your last minute Christmas gift!
Pick some up for $20 at the ski base.     Thank you Arctic Star Printing for your generous donation.

You have been asked to get some pledges for our January 14th ski-a-thon. If anyone donates over $50 please ensure fill out the attached form to make sure they get a tax receipt.  More tax forms can be picked up at the ski base.  If you didn't pick up your pledge form at the Christmas party, it's at the ski base waiting for you. Cheques can be made to  National Sport Trust Fund.
