Great Classic Race by Alex Harvey at the Tour de ski and by Emily Nish at the OPA

It was a very challenging day for the wax technicians as the men's race got underway at the Tour de Ski as it started to rain hard with about 15 min to the start of the race. Every team was struggling to adjust the wax on their athletes skis to make sure the glide and the kick remain good with the rapidly changing snow conditions. Fortunately for the Canadian Team, we managed to send all three skiers with great skis, well above the rest of the field. Alex managed to pull a great race despite still feeling tired from all the racing this week. In the end, he managed to finished in 7th place which helped him regain a few spots in the overall standing. Alex is now sitting in 12th place with the last race of the Tour tomorrow, the grueling climb up the Cernis.

In a different part of Europe, Emily was also racing in a classic race but in a different race series, the OPA Cup which also took place today. Emily had a great race finishing in third place in a strong field. Dahria finished in 17th while Knute finished in 24th place.
